on June 23, 2016, the United Kingdom (U.K.) held a referendum in which voters approved an exit from the European Union (E.U.), commonly referred to as "Brexit". Although it is unknown what those terms will be, it is possible that a U.K. insurance entity's ability to transact insurance business in E.U. countries will be subject to increased regulatory complexities or may not be possible at all.
