On April 4, 2016, we acquired WRH, Inc. (WIL Research), a provider of safety assessment and contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) services to biopharmaceutical and agricultural and industrial chemical companies worldwide. The acquisition enhanced our position as a leading global early-stage CRO by strengthening our ability to partner with global clients across the drug discovery and development continuum.
The purchase price for WIL Research was approximately
$604.8 million
, including assumed liabilities of $
0.4 million
.
|
|
•
|
On June 27, 2016, we acquired Blue Stream Laboratories, Inc. (Blue Stream), an analytical CRO supporting the development of complex biologics and biosimilars. Combining Blue Stream with our existing discovery, safety assessment, and biologics capabilities creates a leading provider with the ability to support biologic and biosimilar development from characterization through clinical testing and commercialization. The preliminary purchase price for Blue Stream was approximately
$9.2 million
in cash, and up to an additional amount of
$3.0 million
in contingent consideration, and is subject to certain customary adjustments.
