At the beginning of 2017, the Compensation Committee, in consultation with Ms. Nader, developed strategic initiatives upon which each executive officer would be evaluated and which would be used in determining their discretionary bonuses. Management focused on key strategic areas for the Company including, but not limited to, revenue management, sales, expense management, property maintenance and improvements, portfolio assessment, development, technology and employee relations. Throughout 2017, each NEO met with Ms. Nader to discuss achievement of these discretionary goals. The Compensation Committee reviewed these evaluations and considered the results of these evaluations in the overall assessment of each NEO’s performance.
As a result, Mr. Seavey, Mr. Waite and Mr. Maynard each received 100% of the discretionary bonus potential for 2017.
