The purchase accounting for these acquisitions is preliminary as the valuation of income tax balances and residual goodwill related to each is not complete. We are also currently assessing the amount of goodwill that we expect to be deductible for tax purposes. These amounts are subject to adjustment as additional information is obtained within the measurement period (not to exceed 12 months from the acquisition date). During the quarter ended June 30, 2017 we refined our other intangible asset estimates for Avure by
$2.6 million
, deferred taxes by
$(0.7) million
and inventory by
$(0.7) million
. The impact of these adjustments was reflected as a decrease in goodwill of
$1.2 million
, and resulted in an immaterial impact to the consolidated statement of income. All other measurement period adjustments in the quarter and six months ended June 30, 3017 were not material.

The acquired definite-lived intangibles are being amortized on a straight-line basis over their estimated useful lives, which range from
five
to
fourteen
years. The tradename intangible assets for Avure, Tipper Tie and C.A.T. have been identified as indefinite-lived intangible asset and will be reviewed annually for impairment.
